Why Children’s Cancer Institute’s Work Matters

Many people aren’t aware that childhood cancer is different from adult cancer and requires tailored treatments. Historically, large pharmaceutical companies generally don’t focus their research on drug discoveries for childhood cancers. As the only independent medical research institute in Australia wholly dedicated to childhood cancer, Children’s Cancer Institute’s role is vital. Because, despite our progress, cancer still kills more Australian children than any other disease.

Meet Jade, she has done a lot of fighting in her young life. Jade was diagnosed with cancer when she was only 2. It's not fair children are fighting cancer & that sadly so many don't make it. We need your help so our research can put a stop to this.

This Sunday, 23 Oct, we're auctioning off the #buildforacure house at 1pm to raise funds for our research so no child has to fight cancer. For more info visit www.buildforacure.org.au

Kylie RobilliardI am currently battling 3 different cancers but would not hesitate to take onboard another if I could save a child from this horrible disease.
